1. Your agreement with us
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Professional Excellence Academy Africa (PEA Africa) when you create an account, purchase a product, access a course or lab, use career or marketplace services, or otherwise use the platform. If you use PEA Africa for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate, current information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must promptly report suspected compromise.
- You may not sell, transfer, share, automate, or create accounts for deceptive or unauthorized purposes.
- Users below the age required to enter a contract in their location may use the service only with valid parent or guardian authorization.
3. Learning, labs, careers, and community
Learning and credentials
Course availability, instructors, schedules, assessments, certificates, and learning outcomes may change. Completion does not guarantee employment, income, admission, certification by a third party, or any specific result.
Cybersecurity simulations
PEA Africa labs are educational simulations. You may use security techniques only inside environments expressly provided or on systems for which you have written authorization. Lab content is not permission to scan, access, disrupt, or test any external system.
Career and AI-assisted features
Recommendations, matching, résumé suggestions, scoring, and generated content are decision-support tools. They may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be reviewed by a person. Employers remain responsible for fair, lawful hiring decisions, and users remain responsible for the accuracy of their profiles and applications.
Community content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant PEA Africa a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, moderate, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, improve, promote, and secure the platform. You must have the rights needed to submit it.
4. Prices, credits, subscriptions, and add-ons
- Displayed prices, taxes, currency, billing interval, included features, and renewal terms apply at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically only when clearly disclosed and authorized. You can cancel future renewal; access normally continues through the paid period.
- Credits are a closed-loop platform balance, have no cash value, are not transferable unless expressly allowed, and cannot be used outside PEA Africa.
- Add-ons, boosts, alerts, verification review, recruiting products, and career services may have stated usage periods, limits, or eligibility conditions.
- Paying a review or verification fee does not guarantee approval, a badge, an interview, or employment.
Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.
5. Prohibited conduct
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you may not attack systems, post fraudulent jobs, request applicant fees, impersonate another person, scrape protected data, evade access controls, abuse payment systems, harass users, or upload unlawful or harmful material.
6. Platform intellectual property
The platform, software, branding, course presentation, lab engines, original content, and documentation belong to PEA Africa or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use them for their intended purpose. No source code, course, assessment, or lab may be copied, resold, reverse engineered, or redistributed except where law or an open licence expressly permits.
7. Moderation, suspension, and termination
We may remove content, limit features, hold suspicious transactions, suspend, or close accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate fraud, comply with law, or secure the service. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an appeal channel. You may close your account through account settings, subject to lawful retention and unresolved transactions.
8. Service availability and responsibility
We work to keep PEA Africa secure and available, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Scheduled maintenance, provider outages, internet failures, third-party services, and events outside reasonable control may interrupt access. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PEA Africa is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunity, independent employer decisions, user conduct, or transactions arranged outside the platform. Any aggregate liability relating to a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where a different limit is required by law.
10. Disputes and governing law
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Courts with lawful jurisdiction in Nigeria may hear unresolved disputes, without limiting mandatory consumer rights available in your location.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, security, or business changes. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or account contact details and will show a new effective date. Where consent is legally required, we will request it.
